Jomres Lite is dual licensed MIT/GPL, so it's totally free to all to download and use as you need. It's not an old version that the developer can't be bothered to maintain any longer, instead it's the 4.5.4 version of Jomres with a handful of features removed but still perfectly usable.

To ensure that our existing clients are still getting value for their money, Jomres Lite comes with no warranty or support whatsoever. There's a board on the forum for Lite users, but Woollyinwales IT do not promise to offer any kind of advice at all. Only tickets and posts from full license holders will be replied to.
Here's a quick run-down of the features that Lite doesn't have, compared to Jomres Developer:
- Support. Lite is unsupported, tickets and forum posts about Lite are unlikely to be replied to.
- Gateways. Jomres Developer comes with Paypal built in. This isn't supported by Lite.
- Subscriptions. Developer allows site admins to offer property slots on a subscription basis, which is a great way of turning a buck from Jomres.
- Tariff Editing modes. Lite uses the default Normal tariff editing mode, which is simple but functional, whereas Developer offers two more with much greater flexibility.
- Optional Extras and Coupons are missing from Lite.
- Plugins and updates. Modules, additional features and on-line updates are only available for Developer.
It might sound like there's a lot missing from Lite, but that's far from the truth. You've still got on-line bookings, with a slick and thoroughly tested booking engine that's no different from the Jomres Developer engine. You've got guest types, invoice handling and the ability to have multiple property managers using multiple propertys and all within the best framework that Jomres has ever had. Jomres's unique editinplace translation system is still there, as is the custom fields, template editing feature, touch templates feature (back-end translations which are saved to the database) and the sms - clickatell integration.
Documentation
Jomres Lite shares much of the functionality of the full Jomres version so to keep costs down we haven't documented Lite at all. Instead, Lite users are encouraged to read the Jomres Developer manual. Most of the information in there can be used to help you configure Lite.
