Introduction
The Partner feature allows you to configure some users as partners, where you can give them a special discount on bookings for certain properties on the system.
Note that partner discounts are only applied to accommodation prices, optional extras added to bookings are charged at full rate.
Usage
When you visit the partners page, the first thing you'll see is an input that's very similar to the one in Show Profiles. Use this input to put in the first characters of any registered user's username. The system will show any found users who's names correspond with the characters you've entered as a list under the input.
When you click on a user's name from this list you'll be taken to a new page. At this point you've marked the user as a partner.
At this point, you don't need to do any more. Partner users are able to make bookings on behalf of other people. When a booking is made with the invoice is assigned to them, but a new Guest is created in the property that's been booked and partners are able to select any guests they've previously from a dropdown when making bookings. All invoices and emails however are assigned to the partner, not the guest themselves.
On this page
On this page you can configure partners to have special discounts from certain properties. Like the previous page, there's a search box. Enter a property's name or just part of it if you can't remember it all. All possible matches will again be listed, and you'll be able to select one of them to add them to the partner's portfolio, however the partner will not be given a discount by default.
You'll now need to click on that property name as it appears at the bottom of the page, when you do the right hand panel will change and you'll be able to select the dates that the discount will be available from, and the amount of the discount. Click the Save icon to apply those changes, or the Trash icon to remove the property from their portfolio. Editing an existing partner is very much the same. In the Partners first page click the partner's username and you'll be taken to the next page. Again, you'll be able to add properties or delete them.
